Super Smash Bros. melee

     The Nintendo mascots are back to kick some butt it Super Smash Bros. Melee!  Choose from one of many famous Nintendo icons, such as Mario, Link, Donkey Kong, Fox and many more!

     The Gamecube’s Super Smash Bros. is by far, not a rehash of it’s N64 predecessor.  Super Smash Bros. Melee is superior in every way.  Though the basic concept of beating each other up is still there, there are plenty of added options. Such as collecting trophies, the 1player mode, unlocking new characters, and multiple other stuff.  SSBM’s graphics are fairly good.  Though, I think it could have been a bit better.  There’s a feature which let’s you take screenshots during the action, I think this add-one was quite unnecessary seeing as you have no use for them, and they take up quite a bit of blocks on your memory card.

     The one player mode is not exactly great, there’s basically only the classic, adventure, when you unlock it, the all-star mode and a few other mini-options.  While the multiplayer, well that’s a whole different story.  Beating up your friends is where most of the fun lies.  Get a group of competitive friends and some beer if you’re of age, and watch the fireworks.  This feature alone will have you playing for hours on.

     Collecting trophies by beating something a certain why does get tedious.  So far I’ve only got around 200 and there are around 300 in total.  First, they’re easy to obtain, but as you go along, the challenges become more and more difficult.  Yes, I’ve already started pulling out some of my hair if you want to know…

     Overall, Super Smash Bros. Melee is a definite must-have.  It’s a great game to just kick-back, or rather kick-butt, and relax.  With even the reason of multiplayer alone, you ought to buy it.
