   A Beautiful Mind

starring: Russell Crowe and Jennifer Conelly
Director:Ron Howard
(hehe thats all i kno about the movie)

This film is about John Nash, a mathemetician in a time between the dropping of the nuclear bomb in Pearl Harbour and now.  He is a mathematical genius, and a very odd one.  He does not know how to have a normal conversation with others and is a loner. John is also a schizophrenic.  This movie explains how schizophrenic affects ones mind to actually believe things are there when they are not.  This movie actually makes you feel that John's unreal world is true.  You want to believe that there is nothing wrong with him.  But there is.  His schizophrenia infected mind concocts 3 people.  His friend a man who was his room mate in Princeton, his neice, and a man who follows him everywhere stating that a new nuclear bomb is ready and the Russians are going to drop it at any day.(please forgive me, it's summer time and my grammer is all wacked)  He also sees Russians in black cars shooting him while he's driving in a car, driven by his schizophrenically made boss.  He believes an abandoned warehouse is a investigation site and imagines hi-tech information tracking systems.  His mission is to look for clues as to where they are going to drop the bomb and when in TIME magazines.
He meets a girl in one of the classes he teaches.  Played by Jennifer Connelly she's a very smart girl, who's a bit weird.  But both of them fall in love with eachother and get married and have a child.  John's schizophrenia is discovered by his wife.  And he is sent to a mental institution and is treated by having to get shocked and taking prescribed pills.  After he does not take the pills it comes back and he is revisited by his former comrades.  But after his wife suggests he go back to Princeton.  There he talks with the 'dude i forgot what he was called' who he went to calss with.  He starts working in the library while all the other students thought he was mad.  He began to teach and the students liked him.  Since he had a very unique sense of humor.  Although he still was affected he learned to ignore them.  He went on to discover mathematical equations and was honored by winning a Nobel Prize, presented specially to him.
This movie makes us see that those people who we see talkingon street corners with themselves are really seeing actual people.  It makes us sympathize.  Based on a true story, it truly is touching.  But basically its still a boring movie.

I giveit 3/5 stars
Mandy
