The Mummy Review by Leo

Although I am not much of a big fan of Egypt…at least not of their Gods and ‘magic’ power anyway, I happened to watch The Mummy many times. When I say many, I mean many because I never really get bored of it. =P The movie combines extravagant and chilling scenes ranging from a soaring plane in the heart of a desert destroyer to thousands of flesh-eating bugs scattering all across the floor of a dark tomb. My point is that I really enjoyed this movie.

Excitement Factor –
If you are looking for a good thrill and adventure on a rainy Friday night, this is the movie to go for. It is pure adventure and combines all the great stats a good movie would need. It brings you to the heart of Egypt and into a lost city (don’t know if it is real) called Hammunaptra or the ‘City of the Dead.’

Story –
By far, there is a good chance that no defects are in the storyline. The characters are great at acting and show a unique personality towards their trip. All of the problems, secrets, and solutions of the story are all brought in harmony with each other, slowly uncovering the hidden treasures of the movie.

Music, Picture, and Whatever –
Two things make this story come alive. First, it is the music. Very Egyptian style, ancient ambient themes. In other words, it brings the story to life. The picture is also great. All the structures and architecture they come across and the interiors are all very finely tuned and detailed. The tombs are so real that you actually feel you are taking part in the journey itself.

Overall Rating –

5 Stars simply because I love this movie…*DUH*
