Rush Hour – Review by Leo

Rush Hour combines a fantastic story with awsome humour! Jackie Chan is the best! And so is Chris Tucker. This movie just rocks and rocks and rocks and… yes, it rocks!

Excitement Factor
Merged into a single film, including crazy stunts and slick scenes, this movie is a must-see. It is 100% guaranteed to make you laugh! Jackie Chan has all the Kung-Fu skills he needs to adjust everything so that they will make right. I have to admit though, that half of the movie is boring. The best part is the end when the master of the foe take charge against the police force. It would be a lot better if there was a ~bit~ more action to suppress the boredom of some scenes. =S

Story
Detective Carter (Chris Tucker) and Detective Lee (Chan) are assigned to be police buddies in solving a big case that sets about in Hong Kong. The Chinese Ambassy’s president’s daughter is kidnapped, and it is up to the two top detectives to find out who kidnapped her and to bring her back.

The task is not easy and almost no one can be trusted. The end? They meet up at a museum of priceless chinese art to duel it out. There’s a bomb (like always) and good and evil shooting haywire at everything. The actors present well and do many crazy things to get the audience going.

The story is fantastic altogether! There are no flaws!

Music, Picture, and Whatever
The music is okay, most of it is actually quite relaxing. Either I enjoy traditional Chinese music, or I am utterly insane. But I found the music to be rather balmy and relaxing. The picture or the scenes? There are quite a few hard-to-do stunts that seem to be a piece of cake to pull off and that is what makes the movie so enjoyable!

Overall Rating

4 stars… Not as exciting as the sequel…=P
