Rush Hour 2
– Review by Leo
For those of you who have seen Rush Hour and the hilarious
sequel, you’ll all know what I’m talking about. For a good laugh, and I mean
REALLY good laugh, this is the numba one movie to go for! It contains jokes
and humour, a fantasic story that balances all the good fun and funny-bone
tickling, and great characters played by your favourite actors.
Excitement Factor –
There
is absolutely no need to explain the details. Like I said, this movie will
keep you on the edge of your seat with action-packed scenes and will bruise
your funny-bone to the marrow! The stunts are great and the vigour of the
actors are all expressed where they are needed.
Story
–
I have
to say, for a movie dedicated to jokes and humour, the storyline towers
above all other movies. The dangerous gang known as the Triads are on a
viscious smuggling role of importing millions of counterfeit U.S. bills that
only 14/15 U.S. banks could tell the difference. As always, detective Lee
and “agent” Carter are on the case again. They are in
Hong
Kong celebrating their last victory when a devestating phone call hits their
vacation.
Triads are discovered, police rush to the scene, jokes, some crazy Kung-Fu
action, more jokes, Triads capture Lee and Carter, more and more jokes,
finale duel, Triads get their butt kicked, and finally, jokes. I can’t say
anymore!
Music,
Picture, and Whatever –
The
music is a bit weird…but it works. It combines the tunes of traditional
Chinese music to that of the modern Western music. It isn’t that great and
it isn’t that bad either. It’s good as it is, I shoud properly say. =)
Picture is altogether breath-taking. It doesn’t contain all this slick 3D
computer graphics, and movies like this shouldn’t have any. The stunts and
scenes are good as they are. No need changes! Anything else? Ummm…..no.
Overall Rating –

5 stars… “cuz they all look alike!”
