Star Trek: Nemesis – Review by Leo

First off, I don’t like Star Trek. So I don’t really know why I went to see this movie, but I guess it was because of a friend. The storyline was confusing and I do not recommend it to ANYONE who doesn’t get the whole point and idea of Star Trek. But for you lovers, this is something different from previous movies of Star Trek, but I guess it is pretty good for the expert.

            Excitement Factor –

To be honest, I didn’t really get the whole point of Nemesis. The characters were done in an outstandingly good job and their individuality is clearly shown, but truly the story is not altogether exciting. There are some parts where the director WANTS the viewer to be hyped of course, but even then it lacks the bait to the edge of the seat.

            Story –

Now the story is something completely different from the excitement factor. Nemesis’ storyline brings the Star Trek world completely to life. At first the whole point was really confusing, and it still is, don’t get me wrong, but if you take time to learn all the cool weapon systems and the background of the different worlds and planets, it will all unravel to life.

                Music, Picture, and Whatever –

I didn’t really pay attention to the music, but some of it is pretty good. Sure, the music doesn’t do anything in Star Trek movies, especially Nemesis, but it plays a key role in killing a bit of boredom. The picture is very well-manufactured. All the aliens and the ships look fantastic and incredibly realistic. So the music and the picture will bring the overall up by a tiny bit. A TINY BIT!!! =P

                Overall Rating –

3 stars…I mean, sure the whole movie wasn’t all that terrific, but like I previously stated, even a fantasy guy must enjoy some lasers and proton torpedos…=)
